Respect Is The Key
Posted: May 17, 2010
Respect: to show regard or consideration of. I am often asked why do marriages and relationships break down. Is there one thing that can predict the end? I am not a marriage counselor, but I do believe that most of the time the parties do not respect each other. If you respect your partner, for example, you would not have an extramarital affair, you would not charge up the credit cards without telling your partner, and you would not undermine your partner’s role as a parent or your partner’s role as the breadwinner in the family. If you think you and your spouse or partner have fallen into disrespectful patterns of behavior toward each other, it may be time to seek counseling before your relationship problems lead you to a divorce.
